About This Guide

This guide provides access to legal materials produced by the judicial branch of government. It includes access to various federal court opinions and rules. Some sources are freely available in the web, some are available to the BC community, and some require password access.

    Provides statistical data for courts and publications and reports.

    Information from and about the Judicial Branch of the U.S. Government including street address, phone number, website, and maps, from the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts on behalf of the Federal Judiciary.
  • Judiciary at Thomas.gov
    From the Law Library of Congress
  • Federal Judicial Center
    The education and research agency for the Federal Courts. Provides a Federal Judges Biographical Database, containing service records of all judges of the U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Circuit Courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court since 1789. Includes texts of landmark legislation and other full-text publications.
  • Federal Sentencing Guidelines
    Provided by the U.S. Sentencing Commission.
  • Pacer  
      
    Provides the U.S. Party/Case Index, a national index for U.S. district, bankruptcy, and appellate courts, is available on a fee basis from Pacer for all participating federal courts.
