What is Zotero?

  • Organize your sources (books, articles, webpages) for research papers and articles 
  • Add web-based resources to your Zotero collection as you research via the browser extension
  • Generate bibliographies in all major styles, including Bluebook
  • Store and search PDFs, images, and web pages
  • Create in-text citations and bibliographies via Word or Google Docs plug-ins (link)
  • Collaborate and share resources with colleagues or students (link)

Installing Zotero

Zotero will run on any operating system. 

To install, go to https://www.zotero.org/ and click the red "Download" button. Click "Install Now" and follow the instructions. 

If you see the message “Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer," click "Allow".

If you have any problems, check the Zotero installation page.
