Competitions at BC Law

This research guide provides resources on the moot court competitions in which BC Law participates in additional to guidance on appellate writing and oral argument. There are also tips for researching issues  like standards of review, statutory interpretation, and legislative intent. The guide is organized by tasks involved in preparing for and participating in a moot court competition.

Competitions at BC Law

Boston College Law School's intramural moot court competition, The Wendell F. Grimes Moot Court Competition, is open to 2Ls and is held in the Spring Semester. Third year students may participate in the following moot court competitions:

  • National Moot Court
  • Philip C. Jessup Moot Court
  • National Environmental Law Moot Court
  • National Criminal Procedure Moot Court
  • First Amendment Moot Court
