The Youth & Family Rights clinic represents youth and their families who are dealing with state intervention into their lives. For example, the clinic might represent a child who has not been attending school, leading to Department of Children and Families (DCF) involvement with the family. Or the clinic might represent a grandparent whose grandchild was removed from their parents by DCF and who wants to care for or visit with their grandchild in DCF custody. The clinic also partners with groups led by individuals who have been impacted by state intervention to support their community and policy work.
