The T&R Librarians support faculty research in a variety of ways:
For assistance, contact your assigned Library Liaison. You can find the list of assignments with links to your Liaison's contact information on the Library Liaison Program page.
The Law Library provides orientation for research assistants at the start of the fall semester and summer to ensure that they are familiar with all of the services available through the library. We have also developed a Research Guide designed to provide RA's with efficient access to a wide range of library and research resources.
In addition, your Law Library Liaison is available to meet with you and your research assistant to discuss the scope of your research and advise on the most efficient databases and methods for meeting your research objectives and provide any research training that may be required. The Teaching & Research Librarians are available throughout the summer to address research needs as they arise.
You can authorize your research or teaching assistant to borrow library materials on your behalf. Simply complete the Request for Proxy Borrowing Form.
Law students serving as faculty research or teaching assistants are provided free work-related printing. If your research or teaching assistant had access to free printing during the academic year, it will need to be renewed for the summer. To have your research assistant given access to this printing resource, email atrinbox@bc.edu with their name and BC username.
The BC Law Library subscribes to a variety of law databases and sources for legal literature. In addition, the Boston College University Libraries provide access to databases containing a wide range of interdisciplinary scholarship. Links to some of the more popular databases are included below along with links to the lists of all available databases at the Law School and University Libraries.
